Disable USB port in linux systems

In this post you’ll learn how to disable usb port in linux systems using the following command.

sudo echo “blacklist usb-storage” >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

This adds a newline in blacklist.conf to block the usb port.

To renable the usb ports just remove the added list to the blacklist.conf file .Thats it!!!

sudo -i                   (enabling root account)

sudo passwd root          (change or set sudo password)

sudo passwd -dl root      (disabling root account)

sudo -k                   (make sure sudo asks for password every time)

sudo -i -u <username>     (login with different account)

Here sudo means “superuser do”.

Hide files under images

In this trick you will learn how to hide  files in the images without any software program,You just need winrar.I assume that everyone has winrar installed in their systems.

Just follow simple steps and illustrative pictures to get it done.

• Select  the required files and compress it  using winrar and name it as something.rar(any name you like),Here in this example I am going to hide a text file named “text.txt”,I will compress it using winrar .To do this just right click on file ,you will get a pop up,then click on “Add to text.rar”.See  the below pictures for better understanding.

• Now select any image image u like and go to run–>type cmd and click enter,then command prompt will open.See  the below pictures for better understanding.

• Now navigate to desktop directory ,this can be done by typing “cd desktop” and pressing enter in the command prompt.After that just type the code “copy /b firstimage.jpg+text.rar finalimage.jpg” and press enter.See  the below pictures for better understanding.

• Now you have created a new image “finalimage.jpg” which contains your files.If you double click on “finalimage.jpg”,u can see only the image but not the files.

How to open the hidden content in the image:

•    Just simply open the winrar and drag the image in to it ,thats it now you can view the files that are hidden inside the image.See  the below picture for better understanding.

• Names of all files used must not contain underscores and spaces.
• Don’t use this for evil causes.

Precautions to be taken to not to get hacked

How to protect your password:

• Use at least eight characters-15 is better.
• Use a random mixture of characters -upper and lower case letters,numbers,punctuation,spaces and symbols.
• Do not use a word found in a dictionary whether it is English or foreign.
• Never use the same password twice.
• Choose a password that you can remember.
• Choose a password that you can type quickly -this reduces the chance of shoulder surfing.
• Avoid using  computer in internet cafe.
• Try using virtual keyboard ,this will secure your password.
• Don’t share your password even with your best friends.
• Do not even use reversed dictionary words as passwords.
• Change your password regularly.
• Never get in to phishing attacks.
• Username must not be the part of the password.

• If it doesn’t work then try using web based proxy server such as http://www.anonymizer.ru(https://www.anonymizer.com) and other sites which I mentioned in my previous post fun with proxysites(servers) .
• If all the web based proxy servers are blocked and cannot be accessed then visit click here .This site provides you a list of proxyservers  that you can use for free.
